We're going to present you the ways to download movies in this part. When we say "ways to download ", we are talking about "illegal ways", but don't worry we are not going to teach you how to get away with murder, at least not on this week's lesson.
We distinguish two ways to download movies illegally:The first one is the direct download considered as the safest Hadopiwise (Hadopi is the law promoting the distribution and protection of creative works on the internet), but if you want to enjoy a good debit you'll have to pay. What is the point of doing something illegal if you have to pay for it?
The second one is the torrent, when it comes to downloading through the torrent protocol, there's no real way to stay completely safe. However, it remains one of the most effective peer-to-peer protocols in the world.
The first thing you need to do is to search on google either a movie in particular plus "download" or just something like "movie download".
You will find a whole lot of websites that you can consider like directories. On some of them you might have to sign in in order to have access to the file, but don't worry those are free.
Those websites are a kind of movie database; they will give you its information like the actors or the synopsis, with a link, to another website that is specialized in storing files. On those you will find a free user path, that will allow you to download at a limited speed or you can pay, a reasonable price and get unlimited speed (depending on your connection).
For example, here are a few websites I know that are quite good:"zone-téléchargement" or "moviz" (these are the movie database's websites I mentioned).
The other way is the torrent. It's a modern peer-to-peer kind of exchange. You share what you have on your computer, and the others do the same.
It works by downloading small bites of files from many different web sources at the same time. Torrent downloading is extremely easy to use, and outside of a few torrent search providers, torrent themselves are free of user fees.
Torrent code is open-source, advertising-free, and adware/spyware-free. This means that no single person profits from torrent success.
The principle is simple: you go on those torrent search providers (that you will find easily by writing "torrent" in the google search bar), you write the title of the movie you are looking for, you click on what they call a "magnet link" (you can see a small magnet on the button) and it will start your torrent client automatically.
Given that you have downloaded and installed one in the first place. I would recommend you "µtorrent" which is a very light client and really easy to use.
The other way is to download the torrent file, that you will have to launch from the repository it was save into and it will also start your torrent client. Then just wait and you will have your file.
Important notions for the torrents are the "Seeders" and the "leechers":
Moreover, here are a bunch of torrent search providers I would recommend :
There is two things you might want to pay attention to when you are downloading movies, the extension of the file (its format) and the tags written in the name of the file. The first one, the format is the part after the "." in the name of the file. We could say that it's the "envelope" that contains the two parts composing a movie: the video and the sound.
Let's just say there is a lot of them so I'm only going to mention a few very used, all of them readable by VLC media Player (software able to open almost every video and audio file).
I would advise to choose those extensions over others if you want to be sure to be able to watch your film on other devices than your computers:
It should ring a bell, it's the most used. You can read it with almost any kind of software on any kind of hardware.
Created by Microsoft, probably the second most used. A lot of devices will be able to read it.
